Who we are

Lexverse Legal is a legal support and paralegal services company with offices in Pune, Mumbai and Noida, India. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

We are not a law firm in the United States and our team are not US licensed attorneys. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and contacting us does not create an attorney client relationship.

What we collect, and why

When you use the contact form

We collect your name, your firm or organisation if you give one, your email address, the matter type you select, and the message you write. We also record which page you submitted from and the time.

We use it only to read your enquiry and reply. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.

Please do not send privileged or confidential client details in a first message. Use the form to describe the shape of the work. Once engaged we will agree a secure route for case material.

When you browse the site

If, and only if, you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects standard measurement data: pages viewed, approximate location by country or city, referring site, device type and browser. Your IP address is anonymised before storage.

If you decline, no analytics cookie is set and no analytics request is made. The site works identically either way.

Server logs

Our host, Firebase Hosting, keeps short lived operational logs including IP address and user agent. These exist to serve pages and defend against abuse. We do not use them to build profiles.

Cookies

You can change your mind at any time using cookie settings, which clears your choice and asks again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser.

Legal bases

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to you:

• Your enquiry. Steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach us.
• Analytics cookies. Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• Server logs and security. Our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and free of abuse.

Where your data goes

Enquiries are stored in Google Cloud Firestore inside our own Firebase project. They are readable only by the named partners of Lexverse Legal, each signing in with an individual account. The public can submit an enquiry but cannot read, list or alter any enquiry, including their own. Once submitted, an enquiry cannot be edited by anyone.

We do not route your enquiry through any third party form service.

Our team works from India, so your data is accessed from India. If you are in the UK, EU or another jurisdiction with transfer rules, that is an international transfer. Our processors, Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, operate under Standard Contractual Clauses. Access is limited to the partners named on this site.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become work: deleted within 24 months.
• Enquiries that become an engagement: kept for the life of the engagement, then per our retention obligations for that matter.
• Analytics: Google Analytics is set to expire user level data after 14 months.
• Server logs: retained by Firebase on its own short cycle.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time.

Under the UK and EU GDPR you may complain to a supervisory authority, in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you may raise a grievance with us and then the Data Protection Board. Under the CCPA and CPRA, California residents may request access and deletion; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.

To exercise any right, email contact@lexverselegal.com. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. Reading enquiries requires an individual account, and self registration is switched off, so nobody can add themselves to the system. Database rules restrict what each party may do rather than relying on the interface alone.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your data has been exposed, tell us and we will investigate promptly.

Children

This site is aimed at legal professionals and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how we handle data we will update this page and move the effective date. Material changes will be flagged at the top.
